Study Days

Cleft CEN Autumn Study Day 2017.

This will be held on Thursday 30th November at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Key areas covered will include: Sticklers Syndrome, Feeding in Beckwith Wiedemann Syndrome, Update on NOSI (Nasal Obturator for Speech) and a Practical Phonetics/ Transcription workshop!

The Autumn Study Day 2015 was held on:

Monday the 2nd November 

We had a really good, well attended day at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. It was generally felt to be a really good, centrally located venue.

Topics included: ’Going Paperless’, EPG, Ultrasound and Ipad Therapy, Case Studies, info on ‘My Mouth Music’ and practical workshops covering Non-cleft VPD assessment/pathways,  generalisation and speech sound elicitation.

The last conference was held at the Royal College of Physicians.

Previous meetings

The last study day was held on Wednesday October 22nd 2014 at St Mary’s Church and Conference Centre, Bramall Lane, Sheffield, S2 4QZ.

The agenda included the following:
- Hearing in speech and cleft
- Working with local teams in a changing NHS
- RCSLT hubs and basecamps
- Use of telemedicine in assessment and therapy
- Case presentations
